Kerry Washington was the definition of chic last night at the 2025 NAACP Image Awards Creative Honors. Washington wore a sleek satin gown from Christopher John Rogers’s Spring/Summer 2024 ready-to-wear collection. The look was styled by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, both who have styled Washington in the past.
The gown was paired perfectly with the actor’s signature slicked-back pony by hairstylist Takisha Sturdivant-Drew. It was classic Kerry in the best way.
But Washington’s look isn’t the only reason she owned the night. Her production company, Simpson Street, was nominated for seven awards, and her hit Netflix film The Six Triple Eight also won two Image Awards: one for the film’s ensemble cast.
The entertainment mogul took to Instagram to celebrate her big night with a photo dump, including snaps with her pup and crew. On the third slide, we also get a close-up peek at her jewelry and nail details. For this, look nail artist Sreynin Peng went with an almond shape and deep purple hue that almost reads black. The nails are complete with a few tiny hints of purple sparkle. The choice is understated without being boring.
The 56th Image Awards broadcast will take place on February 22, airing live from the Pasadena Civic Auditorium at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on BET and CBS.
