Kerry Washington stunned in a white gown and a matching shall from Elie Saab Spring 2024 Couture. Her empire-waist bodice was adorned with sparkly rhinestones while her high-waisted skirt was left bare.
Washington was recently present at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in August, where she took the stage with Vice President Kamala Harris’ grandnieces, Amara, 8, and Leela, 6.
While discussing the experience with PEOPLE at the 7th Annual Black Love Summit in Los Angeles on Saturday, Oct. 12, Washington shared that the children were “so sweet.”
“Those girls, they were great because they wanted to practice a hundred times. So backstage up until the moment we walked out, we were rehearsing again and again and again,” she said.
