ASHANTI is expecting a child with her boyfriend, Nelly, sources have claimed.
This will be the couple’s first child together as they recently got back together after being separated for 10 years.
“Nelly and Ashanti are welcoming their first baby together,” an insider told Us Weekly.
Over the weekend, the couple were spotted together at Nelly’s Black and White Ball in St. Louis, Missouri.
While attending the lavish event, Ashanti, 43, was seen in a video obtained by TMZ of the singer putting her hand on her stomach – with her partner following suit.
The Foolish singer quickly spun herself into Nelly’s, 49, body while laughing.
Moments later, the couple continued to laugh while walking off the stage.
The two have not confirmed if the pregnancy rumors are true.
This will be Ashanti’s first child, however, Nelly has two children with his ex, Channetta Valentine: a daughter Chanelle, and a son Cornell Haynes III.
The two had an on-again-off-again relationship since 2003 after meeting during a Grammy Awards press conference.
On April 22, the former couple was seen together at the Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia boxing match in Las Vegas.
After the match, the two appeared to be holding hands and heading in the same direction.
After much speculation, on September 12, 2023, Nelly finally confirmed their relationship during an interview with Rasheeda Frost’s Boss Moves with Rasheeda series.
‘WE COOL AGAIN’
In an interview with Rasheeda Frost, the host asked the rapper if he and Ashanti were back together.
Nelly responded saying: “Yeah. We cool again.”
He went on to say their rekindling “surprised” them both.
“I think it surprised both of us, though. It wasn’t anything that was, like, planned. I think we both was pretty much doing what we do.
