The CEO of Savage X Fenty, the lingerie brand co-founded by Fenty mogul Rihanna in 2018, has decided to step down from her position. According to Vogue Business, Hillary Super, former CEO at Anthropologie Group, will assume the role starting June 26. However, Rihanna will maintain a leadership role as the executive chair.
Rihanna expressed her appreciation for the impact Savage X Fenty has made in the industry over the past five years, emphasizing that this is only the beginning for the brand. She stated, “We’re going to continue to expand in ways that always connect with the consumer.” Rihanna warmly welcomed Hillary Super as the new CEO, recognizing her as a strong leader dedicated to taking the business to new heights.
Savage X Fenty has gained acclaim for its emphasis on inclusivity in terms of size and color, catering to a diverse range of body types and skin tones. The brand is also renowned for its annual fashion shows, which are streamed on Prime Video.
Super, who has held leadership positions at esteemed brands such as American Eagle, Guess, Gap, and Old Navy, intends to strengthen Savage X Fenty’s physical retail presence as the company aims to expand beyond e-commerce. The brand has already established seven stores across the United States, including locations in Los Angeles, Houston, Las Vegas, and Atlanta.
Expressing her enthusiasm, the new CEO, Super, said, “I’m thrilled to join the Savage X Fenty family. The brand is a major powerhouse in the lingerie and apparel industry, and its unwavering commitment to celebrating inclusivity and fearlessness is inspiring.”
