Margot Robbie Turns Heads at the Premiere of “Asteroid City”
Stepping away from her signature Barbie pink, the 32-year-old actress, Margot Robbie, made a stellar appearance at the opening night of Wes Anderson’s latest film in New York City on Tuesday. She graced the red carpet in a breathtaking black-and-white ensemble from Schiaparelli.
The eye-catching outfit featured a black structured velvet corset top, inspired by Schiaparelli’s iconic fragrance bottle, Shocking! Designed by creative director Daniel Roseberry, the velvet peplum top boasted a striking simplicity, complemented by a gold keyhole lapel detail. Paired with it was a pleated white mini skirt, both pieces taken from Schiaparelli’s spring/summer 2023 collection.
Set in a fictional desert town in 1955, “Asteroid City” showcases an ensemble cast including Robbie, Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson, Willem Dafoe, Steve Carell, Maya Hawke, Jeff Goldblum, and Hong Chau. The film revolves around a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention that experiences disruption due to world-changing events, as stated in the official synopsis.
The highly anticipated film is set to release in select theaters on June 16 and nationwide on June 23.
In addition to “Asteroid City,” Margot Robbie will also grace the screens in the upcoming film “Barbie,” where she portrays the titular doll. While the film is yet to premiere, Robbie showcased her chic red carpet style with a Barbie twist earlier this year at CinemaCon 2023, where she twinned in pink alongside co-star Ryan Gosling.
