Nigerian born and London based fashion designer Duro Olowu collaborated with JCPenney for a new limited-edition collection for spring 2013.
In an interview with InStyle.com Olowu said: “This collection is for anyone from 18 to 80. Everything has a flattering element, whether you mix prints or pull out one piece and keep it simple”.
The First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama loves Olowu he is also one of her favorite designers; she has been seen wearing his designs often. Olowu is known for his great use ofd vibrant prints and color.
Olowu said in a press release: “I am proud to partner with jcpenney to create and launch this new seasonal collection”. He also said: “Working with jcpenney has allowed me to merge my vision of style and quality with their affordability, resulting in a line that is stylish, beautifully made and accessible. It has been an exciting experience to bring this fashion and home collection to life”.
The price range of the collection is from $10 to $100 dollars and it includes handbags, shoes, clothes, accessories and home décor.
The line will be available in JCP stores and online from March through May 2013.
