Mitchell Robinson is taking in what he describes as one of the most meaningful moments of his life.
In an emotional message shared on Facebook, the basketball star opened up about the overwhelming joy, gratitude, and disbelief he has felt over the past two weeks following a historic championship journey and the announcement that June 25 has been recognized as his official day.
“The last two weeks have been the highlight of my life,” Robinson wrote. “I am finding it difficult to articulate my appreciation for this extraordinary moment.”
For Robinson, the recognition represents much more than a celebration of success on the court. It is also a deeply personal reminder of how far he has come through difficult moments, self-doubt, and challenges that once made him feel as though he did not belong.
“After battling my personal demons and continuing to push forward, I am grateful to everyone who has supported me on my path to becoming a world champion,” he shared.
Robinson credited God, his loved ones, and the people who stood beside him during some of his lowest moments. He acknowledged that their encouragement gave him the strength to continue moving forward when life felt especially difficult.
“The fact that I now have my own day, June 25th, is simply astonishing,” Robinson said. “I am still trying to process everything that has happened.”
The heartfelt post resonated as a powerful message about perseverance, healing, and gratitude. Robinson’s words remind fans that behind every championship moment is often a personal story of struggle, resilience, and the people who refused to give up on you.
“I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to God, my friends, and family,” he wrote. “Your support during my lowest points, when I felt I didn’t belong, has been instrumental in helping me overcome my struggles and persevere.”
As Robinson continues to celebrate this major milestone, his message stands as an inspiring reflection on what it means to keep pushing forward, even when the journey feels impossible.
“Thank you,” he concluded.
