Meghan Markle is suiting up to appear on the big screen.
The Duchess of Sussex is set to return to acting for the first time in seven years for a new movie called Close Personal Friends starring Lily Collins and Brie Larson, according to multiple outlets.
Indeed, Meghan was reportedly seen on set to portray herself in a small role in the Amazon MGM Studios-produced comedy, which follows partners who befriend a famous couple during a trip to Santa Barbara, Calif., per People.
E! News reached out to reps for Meghan and Amazon for comment but has not heard back.
Close Personal Friends—also starring Henry Golding and Jack Quaid—was first announced back in August, with production beginning one month later in London.
And while most of the details about the flick are still being kept under wraps, Lily has since shared a behind-the-scenes look at the Jason Orley-directed project.
In a photo posted to Instagram Sept. 22, the Emily in Paris star posed for a selfie alongside Henry, Brie and Jack in an all-white room. Captioning the pic, she wrote, “Close (personal) friends only…”
As for Meghan, the movie marks her first acting role since she exited the long-running legal drama Suits in 2018 after playing series regular Rachel Zane for seven seasons.
The 44-year-old made the decision to leave the show to focus on her responsibilities within the royal family ahead of her marriage to Prince Harry, who she tied the knot with in 2018.
“I don’t see it as giving anything up,” Meghan explained in an interview with the BBC at the time. “I just see it as a change.”
She continued, “For me, once we hit the 100-episode marker, I thought, you know what? I have ticked this box, and I feel really proud of the work I’ve done there, and now it’s time to, as you said, work as a team with [Harry].”
Three years after her departure from Hollywood, Meghan and Harry—who are parents to 6-year-old Prince Archie and 4-year-old Princess Lilibet—stepped down as senior working royals and relocated their family to the U.S.
However, Meghan—who has since launched the lifestyle brand As Ever and premiered her own Netflix homemaking series With Love, Meghan—insisted that she still doesn’t see herself returning to acting as a full-time gig.
“I’m done,” she told Variety in 2022. “I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not.”
