Kim Kardashian may be ringing in a new year, but she is also looking back. At least when it comes to her clothes. To celebrate her 45th birthday on October 21, the Skims founder wore not one but two archival vintage pieces. First, a 2000 Dior by John Galliano gown for the All’s Fair Paris premiere, then, a 1997 Givenchy by Alexander McQueen gilded corset gown for the after-party, which doubled as her birthday bash.
Kardashian and her castmates from the Hulu legal show hit up the Parisian hot spot Crazy Horse cabaret to ring in her 45th birthday. Her vintage Givenchy dress featured a white draped under layer and an asymmetrical metallic gold corset overlay. She paired the dress with strappy gold heels and a slicked back bun.
The dress was Look 28 from Alexander McQueen’s summer 1997 Givenchy couture collection, which debuted with his “Search for the Golden Fleece” show. A young Naomi Campbell originally modeled the look on the runway.
Kardashian’s castmates Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson, Naomi Watts, Teyana Taylor, and Niecy Nash-Betts, as well as her mom Kris Jenner were all present for her birthday celebrations,
Earlier in the evening, Kardashian and her castmates had walked the red carpet at the Paris premiere of their show. Kardashian wore a baby blue asymmetrical gown by John Galliano for Christian Dior from the Spring/Summer 2000 collection.
Kardashian’s two vintage moments come after she rocked a much more contemporary piece last week—attending the 2025 Academy Museum Gala on October 18, she opted for an eye-catching nude gown with a full face covering by Maison Margiela.
