Ron Robinson Has Partnered With Girls in STEM To Inspire Future Generations Of Cosmetic Chemists

Award-winning cosmetic chemist Ron Robinson is inspiring the next generation.

As AFROTECH previously told you, Robinson is making an imprint within his industry through his career trajectory, which includes contributions to skin care at Rhode, a lifestyle beauty brand founded by Hailey Bieber that was recently acquired by e.l.f. Beauty for $1 billion.

“Proud day for science. Hailey, Michael @ratty Lauren @laurenratner and the entire @rhode team – Thank you for bringing us on as partners from the very beginning,” he expressed on Instagram. “While some may have experts just for marketing, you truly leaned into the science and allowed us to be part of the team. Because of you, brands have taken notice and now value the need for science-led formulations. This has been the journey of a lifetime and we are proud to be a part of it.”

Partnership With Girls In STEM

Beyond his work at Rhode, Robinson is the founder of BeautyStat, a result driven skincare company, established in 2008 initially as a blog, which he bootstrapped through his 401(k) to create a triple-patented stable vitamin C, notes Beauty Matter.

“For me, it goes back to the consumer. It’s understanding what the consumer needs but also how to surprise them,” he mentioned to the outlet. “That’s what’s unique about me as a cosmetic chemist developer and now brand founder: the ability to take what consumers are looking for and respond with an exciting ingredient or delivery system that is unique.”

Furthermore, Robinson hopes to inspire the next generation of young girls by sparking their interest in cosmetic chemistry, and he is actively doing so through a partnership with Girls in STEM.

“I believe in giving back and certainly giving back to young women who are interested in sciences. We want to make sure that they’re aware there is a great career opportunity in the cosmetic chemist industry,” Robinson told Beauty Matter.
