Kim Kardashian may not be in Paris for the best reasons, but she is in Paris nonetheless, and so she’s dressing the part.
The reality star and entrepreneur arrived at the Palais de Justice today with mother Kris Jenner for the latest episode of her ongoing jewelry heist legal battle. Ten people are on trial in the case, as they are accused of having stolen millions of dollars worth of jewelry from Kardashian in 2016. Readers may recall that the Skims founder was in the French capital for Paris Fashion Week when a group of criminals broke into her hotel suite at Hôtel de Pourtalès, blindfolded her, tied her up, and held her at gunpoint as they stole all her prized jewels.
The case is brimming with drama, and for her court appearance today, Kardashian mirrored that drama, sartorially. She was photographed arriving for the session in a black suit-inspired John Galliano gown with jutted-out shoulders and a wavy peplum detail at the waist. Buttons ran all the way down the floor-length vintage dress, and a high slit broke up the back of the skirt.
Kardashian styled the black gown with pointy black slingback heels from Saint Laurent, jet-black cat-eye sunglasses, and a flashy diamond necklace from Samer Halimeh New York with matching diamond earrings (including an $8,100 Briony Raymond ear cuff), rings, and an anklet—to show those thieves what they’re missing. The jewelry added up to a hot $7 million, per Page Six.
Jenner also suited up in an oversize black, white, and red plaid Bottega Veneta blazer (once worn by her daughter Kendall Jenner) that she styled with a crisp white dress shirt, black pants, and a maroon tie. She finished her look with chunky black shoes, a maroon bag, and dark aviator shades—plus a sharp, curled-up bob.
