Grace Wales Bonner Brings “Togetherness” to New York City for a Night of Music, Fashion, and Culture
Grace Wales Bonner returned with the second chapter of her immersive event series Togetherness on Saturday night, bringing the celebration to New York City after its Parisian debut during 2024’s Fête de la Musique. Hosted at the iconic Guggenheim Museum, the evening fused fashion, music, and culture into a singular, unforgettable experience—just days ahead of the 2025 Met Gala.
The event coincided with Rashid Johnson: A Poem for Deep Thinkers, currently on view at the museum through January 18, 2026. The night’s dynamic lineup featured a global mix of talent, including Nigerian highlife duo The Cavemen, Afropop sensation Fireboy DML, South African choral group The Joy, genre-blending artist Amaarae, and experimental musician keiyaA. Adding to the multisensory experience, Lagavulin Whisky presented its Layers of Lagavulin installation, guiding guests through the artistry of whisky-making and aligning craft with culture.
The Guggenheim’s spiraling rotunda and various levels played host to a star-studded guest list, with fashion insiders leading the charge. Bernie Martinez Ocasio, brother of Bad Bunny, kept things relaxed in a minimalist knit polo, tailored trousers, and a baseball cap. Selah Marley embraced the season’s no-pants trend, while Julez Smith—rising model and son of Solange—opted for a sleek, tracksuit-inspired look. The crowd also included style legend Dapper Dan, singer Leon Bridges, photographer Tyler Mitchell, Off-White creative director Ibrahim Kamara, and gallerist Hannah Traore.
For Wales Bonner and her community, the night was a celebration of joy, connection, and cultural resonance. Scroll on to see the standout looks from this unforgettable evening.
