
A$AP Rocky has been named the first-ever Creative Director of Ray-Ban.
As part of this collaboration, Ray-Ban is set to launch the “Blacked Out Collection” in April 2025. This line will feature reimagined versions of the brand’s classic designs, enhanced with gold-plated details and darker lenses
His role will extend beyond eyewear design—he’ll also direct campaigns, reimagine Ray-Ban stores, and infuse the brand with influences from music, fashion, and the arts. Redefining eyewear through a cultural lens.
In an official Instagram post (viewable here), luxury eyeglass and sunglass brand Ray-Ban announced Asap Rocky to be its inaugural Creative Director.
“Introducing A$AP ROCKY as the first Creative Director for Ray-Ban,” wrote the company.
To echo the new chapter in the company’s journey, Ray-Ban’s president Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio issued a statement. “Today, we are welcoming A$AP Rocky into our family; he’s a visionary artist and creator,” he wrote. “His ability to push the boundaries of the diverse worlds he explores, aligns with the Ray-Ban DNA. We are reinforcing the brand’s values of innovation, pioneering spirit, and courage. Let the future begin!”
As Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, Ray-Ban President said in a statement on Friday: “For nearly 80 years, the brand has been on the faces of the most iconic musicians, artists, actors and heroes – shaping and re-shaping the status quo, leading cultural revolutions of all the times.”
