It’s official: Adele and Rich Paul are getting married!
The Grammy winner confirmed the news during a sweet fan interaction at a concert in Munich. In clips shared to social media, Adele reads a sign held up by a fan. “ ‘Will you marry me?’ I can’t marry you because I’m already getting married,” she said, holding up her ring finger. “So, I can’t. But I appreciate it.”
Adele was first romantically linked to the NBA agent in early 2021, following their initial meeting on a dance floor at a mutual friend’s birthday party, she previously told Rolling Stone.
“Rich and I have always known everything about each other since the day we got together,” the singer said in a 2023 interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
Since they started dating, Adele has shared tidbits of their love life with fans. “She’s not as concerned about being private with her life because she’s very happy with Rich,” an insider explained to E!. “[She’s] enjoying learning about the sports world and meeting many of Rich’s friends. She’s going with it and is very happy.”
Adele was previously married to Simon Konecki, the CEO of charity Drop4Drop, from 2011 to 2019. She opened up about the end of their relationship while promoting her 2021 album, 30. “It made me really sad,” she said at the time. “Then having so many people that I don’t know know that I didn’t make that work…. I was embarrassed. No one made me feel embarrassed, but you feel like you didn’t do a good job.”
Adele finally confirmed on Friday night at her concert in Munich that she is engaged to Rich Paul. The 36-year-old singer announced that she is getting married in front of 80,000 people and showed her diamond ring.
The couple, who have been together since 2021, secretly got engaged last month when Paul proposed to Adele in her hometown of Tottenham. Adele responded to a banner from the audience that said “Will you marry me?” with “I’m already getting married!”
Adele performed in front of 75,000 fans at her first concert in Munich last weekend. Although there have been previous rumors of marriage, it is claimed that the couple recently got engaged.
During the concert, Adele had to remove the train of her dress due to heavy rain. The singer made a joke about it and continued her performance.
Adele also performed her song “Chasing Pavements” for the first time in seven years. The singer was previously married to Simon Konecki from 2018 to 2021 and they have an 11-year-old son.
