Meghan and Prince Harry’s audio division of Archewell and Spotify have officially announced the conclusion of their partnership. In a joint statement, both companies expressed pride in the series they created together while mutually agreeing to part ways. Meghan’s release on Spotify included the series titled Archetypes. The couple had initially signed a $20 million deal with Spotify in late 2020.
According to a source cited by Variety, Meghan and Harry decided to seek a new platform for their projects instead of continuing with exclusive distribution through Spotify. Another source mentioned that Spotify had anticipated more content from Archewell Audio, and the lack of substantial output after nearly three years led to uncertainty surrounding the overall deal.
Beyond their initial statement, neither party has provided additional comments regarding the conclusion of their partnership. It is noteworthy that Meghan’s recent public appearance occurred on the day preceding King Charles’ first Trooping the Colour as the reigning monarch. Reports indicate that Meghan and Harry were not invited to the event held this Saturday, as stated by People magazine earlier this week.
