Kandi and Todd Miss Out on Best Revival of a Play Trophy, But Find Success in Other Milestones
Despite not winning the award for Best Revival of a Play, Kandi and Todd, the dynamic husband-and-wife producing team, have reason to celebrate. Their production, featuring Samuel L. Jackson, John David Washington, and Danielle Brooks, led by Suzan-Lori Parks’ Topdog/Underdog, has achieved a remarkable feat. According to Broadway World’s report on January 3, it has become the highest-grossing August Wilson play in history.
