Perry’s bespoke Vivienne Westwood dress came complete with a plunging neckline, backless silhouette, draped sleeves and massive train, all made in a metallic leatherette fabric.

The corseted 18th-century silhouette, made using gold metallic leatherette, was designed to “exude baroque grandeur,” according to the brand. Specifically, the draping is inspired by a bridal look from the British house’s spring/summer 2006 Gold Label collection.
Perry’s gilded dress looked like a modernized version of Diana’s gold satin dress designed by Murray Arbeid. The late mother of Prince Harry and Prince William wore the dress for the premiere of “2010: The Year We Make Contact” in 1985
