The wedding dress worn by Catherine Middleton at her wedding to Prince William on 29 April 2011 was designed by English designer Sarah Burton, creative director of the luxury fashion house Alexander McQueen.
Her ivory silk crepe Alexander McQueen dress with silver bullion and threadwork embroidery featuring roses, thistles, daffodils and shamrocks as a nod to the national flowers of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, respectively.
Her 8-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte, matched in a mini caped iteration of the same ensemble.
