He won the Best Actor with his role in The Whale – – a psychological drama in which he played the role of Charlie, a reclusive and unhealthy English teacher.

“I started this business 30 years ago, and things didn’t come easy to me. There was a facility that I didn’t appreciate at the time. And I just want to say thank you for this acknowledgement, it couldn’t be done without my cast.
