On Friday, March 10th, Kim Jones alongside new partner, Hennessy X.O, celebrated the launch of an unprecedented collaboration. Held at the prestigious Aman New York, the renowned cognac Maison and the Dior Men / Fendi Womenswear Artistic Director welcomed an intimate crowd of creatives and fashion notables to a luxurious private dinner experience of cognac and couture.
The evening was set in a private room adorned with the duo’s new collection: a limited-edition X.O bottle, a Hennessy exclusive sneaker designed by Jones deemed the ‘HNY Low,’ and a sculptural, 3D printed masterpiece decanter. Signature Hennessy X.O cocktails were served, and guests gathered around a modern and elegantly minimal table to enjoy a 3-course meal paired with the sophisticated cognac.
The night was capped with Heron Preston on the DJ booth for a final moment of revelry in an unexpected meeting of street and luxury.
As the first fashion collaboration for Hennessy and the first spirits collaboration for Jones, both brands had a lot to toast to. Kim Jones raised his glass to the revolutionary collection inspired by Hennessy, where he channeled and transposed ‘a glass of cognac in sneaker form.’
Jones said, “For my first collaboration with Hennessy, I wanted to explore transporting the principles of fashion into another creative realm.”
Hennessy SVP Jasmin Allen spoke to the partnership’s unique merging of high-low that celebrates the brand’s rich heritage and impact on culture, in a contemporary spirit that ushers in a new direction for Hennessy X.O.
