Actress Scarlett Johansson announced today that she will be launching her own skincare brand in 2022 in partnership with beauty/fashion executive Kate Foster.
Johansson will serve as the Founder and Chairman of the new unnamed company, while is credited as the Co-Founder and CEO. The brand is being funded by The Najafi Companies, a private investment firm that is also behind Tracee Ellis Ross’ Pattern Beauty.
Scarlett has held several brand ambassadorships for luxury beauty labels including being the face of Dolce & Gabbana makeup and perfume, this will be her first time venturing out on her own.
“I’ve been fascinated by the transformative power of beauty since I was a child. My mother instilled in me a passion for self-care from my early teenage years. Several years ago, I took a step back from my beauty deals with the goal of creating something true to me. The result is a clean, accessible approach to beauty,” said Johansson in a statement.
