Rihanna creative directed her own cover & shoot for this month’s Vogue Italia in a sheer Valentino dress, baggy jeans, and Savage X Fenty lingerie.
Rihanna is on the cover of the new issue of Vogue magazine in Italy. And it’s a special edition, with an air of “do it yourself”. The singer was invited to create her own cover, just the way she wanted. The magazine director Emanuele Farneti explained:
“Over the last few years, we’ve been trying to use our cover in many different ways: with photography or illustrations, or even without images. However, we had never asked the protagonist to do everything alone: pose, photograph, choose the clothes to wear. If there was a right time for this new experiment, it could only be the DIY issue, and there couldn’t be a better subject than Rihanna – so often on the covers, but never like this time in the version where she and only she chose to show off, without filters and mediations”.
