Dropping a line to alert you to a blink-and-you might miss moment from last night’s Saturday Night Live episode when host, Maya Rudolph, seemingly paid homage to her late mother, legendary singer Minnie Ripperton.
Featured in one of the episode’s many intro/outro cutaways, wearing The Vampire’s Wife’s Love Letter Dress and a crown of baby’s breath, Rudolph’s pose was highly reminiscent of Riperton’s 1975 album cover for Adventures in Paradise.
