Prince Harry will become chief impact officer of BetterUp, the fast-growing coaching and mental health firm plans to announce Tuesday, in his latest foray into business. The Duke of Sussex is going to work for the unicorn employee coaching and mental wellness startup BetterUp in his latest foray into business.
In his new role as chief impact officer at a Silicon Valley coaching and mental health startup, Prince Harry is expected to have input into product strategy decisions and charitable contributions, and advocate publicly on topics related to mental health.
“It’s a meaningful and meaty role,” said the company’s CEO, who said he was introduced to the Duke of Sussex through a mutual friend and began conversations with him last fall.
Prince Harry’s position is relatively rare in the corporate world. Chief impact officers are more common in the nonprofit world at organizations like Amnesty International and the United Way.
