Sometime last year, I met a couple who had letters of the alphabets encrusted on each other’s necklace. Same way Selena Gomez proudly wore “J” (which stands for Justin Bieber) on her Diamond-encrusted necklace back in the day.
Out of my curiosity, I asked what the letters stood for. And they said it’s their respective initials – a way to carry partner their partner with them everywhere.
My reaction?
I was WOWed and impressed; so much so I wanted to do the same with my better half.
Immediately, I started scouring the internet for ideas. Then I came upon this “Till Death Do us Part” fantasy jewelry online.
I know you wish to do something like that with your woman too. But you probably have no idea how to go about it.
Relax; I’m going to share some amazing couple jewelry ideas with you. I’m sure you’ll like them.
1. “Two Halves of a Heart” Pendants
Imagine splitting your heart into two and then sharing one half with your lover. Sounds romantically poetic, right?
Except this time, you’ll be doing with necklace jewels. To further give your necklaces a much better angle and definition, you can even have a lock-and-key accessory encrusted with the split hearts. This will show wherever you go that you have your other heart somewhere in the world and that you’re locked in love for all eternity.
2. Pendants comprising of Two Halves of something You Both Hold Dear
Instead of split hearts, you can have split pendants sculpted from something that means the world to you and your lover.
It could be the face of your kid (if you have one). It could be a picture of the place you first met. It could be the numbers from your anniversary date. And it could even be some pieces of a puzzle.
In short, it could be anything you both decide. The idea here is to have a necklace that represents the idea of being a part of something bigger.
3. Interlocking Rings
There is a reason why couples sometimes call their partners their “better half.” The feeling is that beyond the love and affection they both share, that person also complements them – adding greater meaning and purpose to their life.
Luckily, there is a way to put all of that into a jewelry.
Through the interlocking rings!
Interlocking rings work just like any other ring. On their own, they look complete and perfect. But when brought in close proximity to their matching pair, they give a more defined, complete, and unique design.
4.Lock and Key Charms
What about a little ol’ lock and key style jewelry? You hold the lock while your partner goes with the key. Sounds poetic and cute, right?
For the party with the lock pendant, it will be obvious wherever you go that your heart is already captured by another, and only they have the key to open it.
And for the party with the key pendant, it will be obvious that you are the key to someone’s heart and happiness.
5. Matching Bracelets
Another beautiful couple’s jewelry idea is wearing exactly the same kind of bracelet.
As you know, there are lots of bracelet designs and styles on the market, so you shouldn’t have a hard time picking one. But we suggest choosing something that aligns with both parties’ interests.
To give more definition to your bracelets, you could try modern designs like heartbeat bracelets or fingerprint bracelets. These ideas involve adding the fingerprint of one partner on the bracelet of another. Or recording the heartbeat of one party, and then adding it into the bracelet of the other, and vice versa.
6. Personalized Engravings
Over the years, we’ve seen many lovesick celebrities wearing personalized messages from their lover. Earlier in 2012, Kim Kardashian wore the letters “KW” on her earrings, which made her sister question whether the initials stood for “Kanye West” or “Kim West” on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
The beautiful thing about personalized engravings is you could engrave virtually anything on anything. If you like, you can go the way of Selena Gomez and Kim Kardashian and engrave your partner’s initials on any cute jewelry you like.
Or you can engrave your anniversary date, a secret message from your lover, a simple “I Love You” message, your nickname for each other, etc.
7. Memory Lockets
Memory lockets are my very own personal best. Why? Because they are far from cliché. They even have a mysterious way of keeping lovers closer to each other.
A common locket idea is keeping a picture of your better half inside in a locket wrapped around a necklace, bracelet, or ring.
But you can take your locket jewelry adventure up another notch by carrying around different kinds of memories.
For example, you could gather up a bit of sand from the place you first met. You could record the first song you sang to each other and keep it playing once in a while around your chest. You could write each other some sweet promises and then keep them locked away in a locket. Alternatively, you could burn these letters of promises and then keep the ashes in a locket.
Whatever you choose, the choice is yours.
8. Exchanged Jewelry
Last but not least on our list is the exchanged jewelry idea.
Unlike the rest ideas on this list, this idea actually begins with each party wearing a particular type of jewelry and then exchanging it with their partner’s own after a while.
The beauty of this idea is couples can exchange virtually any kind of jewelry. From bracelets to rings, lockets to necklaces, and everything else in between.
Although this may not really create any special impression on outsiders, it will represent a huge show of love between the lovers.
Imagine asking your babe to kindly exchange one of their favorite bracelets with your favorite skull ring. Although strange, they’ll appreciate the fact that you’re willing to carry around something that belongs to them.
