Their Windsor Castle visit marks the end of their royal train tour and the family’s first full portrait of 2020. For their final stop on the royal train tour, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met up with other members of the royal family – Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Anne and Prince Edward and his wife, Sophie, Countess of Wessex – at Windsor Castle for an outdoor event in honour of essential workers. Middleton wasn’t the only one to don a jewel-toned coat for the occasion: the queen wore a crimson jacket and matching hat, while Camilla wore a rich purple.

For her visit to Windsor Castle, she added a black Troy London fur collar. She also wore Ralph Lauren suede boots, black gloves, and an Alexander McQueen clutch.

To close their royal train tour which launched earlier this week, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived at Windsor Castle to meet Prince Charles, Duchess Camilla, Countess Sophie and the Earl of Wessex, Princess Anne, and, of course, Queen Elizabeth II for a socially distanced holiday portrait. For the photo op, Duchess Kate wore a chic emerald-green wool coat with a fur collar, matching gloves, and black suede boots. And she had her hair pinned back in a sophisticated half-ponytail, revealing her diamond teardrop earrings.
