We were shocked and saddened with the heartbreaking news of the passing of Chadwick Boseman after a four-year fight with colon cancer. The actor died in his home surrounded by his wife and family. “It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther,” the statement said. Actor Chadwick Boseman, who played legendary Black icons Jackie Robinson and James Brown before finding fame as the regal Black Panther in the Marvel cinematic universe, died Friday of cancer, his representative said. He was 43.

Chadwick came to the White House to work with kids when he was playing Jackie Robinson. You could tell right away that he was blessed. To be young, gifted, and Black; to use that power to give them heroes to look up to; to do it all while in pain – what a use of his years. https://t.co/KazXV1e7l7
