On Monday night, June 8th, Cardi showed how healthy her natural hair has become over the years. And it’s all thanks to a nourishing DIY mask she makes for herself and daughter Kulture.
Cardi uses Veet Legs & Body 3 in 1 Gel Cream Hair Remover ) on her Instagram stories earlier in May, Cardi returned on Monday night with a step-by-step guide of how to create her creamy hair cocktail using ingredients that can be found in your kitchen. She began the video by adding Shea Moisture’s Argan Oil into a bowl with blended avocado. Then, she announced all the other ingredients she’ll add to the mixture later on. The product list includes mayonnaise, egg, honey, castor oil, and olive oil, so Kulture’s hair can be “really hydrated like mine,” explained Cardi. She added a banana for extra nutrients and advised her viewers to blend the mixture, so you don’t end up with “avocado meat in your fucking hair.”

“This treatment is really good for curl patterns,” Cardi said, showing off Kulture’s curls. When she finally appeared in front of the screen, Cardi’s hair was blown out straight.
“This is really how my hair is,” she said to the camera. “My hair gets like this when you blow dry it, then two days later it looks puff puff like this, even when you braid it,” she added. Cardi explained that her natural hair doesn’t get curly, but Kulture “has curls and little coils.”
Before posting a series of photos of her hair journey throughout the years, Cardi left viewers with some words of advice. “All the good things that you put in your body, you got to put in your hair. You’re not going to put soda in your body because, of course, soda is not good for your body, so it’s not good for your hair,” she said. After washing out the mask and styling her hair, Cardi revealed the final result: a blow-dried straight look with soft curls and a healthy shine.
