Ludacris and Nelly on Saturday night (May 16) participated in the Verzuz Instagram Live music battle which is curated by Timbaland and Swizz Beatz. Ludacris, rocked a Dominique Wilkins Atlanta Hawks throwback jersey, with an afro .Unfortunately, the music battle experienced technical difficulties with Nelly having WiFi problems due to bad weather in his area. However, it didn’t affect the hits from moving their fans. The track list included hits such as: “Dilemma”, “Hot In Here”, “Air Force Ones”, “Stand Up”, and “Move B*tch”.
It was clear from the beginning that it would be a friendly competition.
As Ludacris was waiting for the technical difficulties on Nelly’s side to be fixed he played St. Louis native Chingy’s “Holidae Inn,” a song Chingy recorded when he was a part of Ludacris’ Disturbing Tha Peace record label.
As the friendly battle started , Ludacris praised on Nelly’s contribution to hip -hop. “You put your whole city on in a major way,” Ludacris said.
Nelly returned the compliments – expressing Ludacris’ ability to hold his own in a city loaded with talent and maintain relevance in the ever-changing genre of hip-hop.
“Your staying power is legendary,” Nelly told Ludacris. The track list included hits such as: “Dilemma”, “Hot In Here”, “Air Force Ones”, “Stand Up”, and “Move B*tch”.
Both Ludacris and Nelly have contributed many hits to the hip-hop industry. Well done guys
