WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION TO BE A TRAINER
When I train my clients, freedom of expression is a priority. Communication with one another is the key to successfully achieving one’s goal. Committing to training, and beginning a fitness journey, can be intimidating and overwhelming. That is why I believe in “speaking the same language” with my clients and concentrating on the idea of simplicity when creating and teaching my programs.
OBJECTIVES
As a trainer, my approach towards fitness and training, stems from my personal upbringing and the way it has shaped me as a person. I believe that one has to work from the ground up to reach their full potential, just as I have done myself and am continuing to do so. Step by step your goals will become your reality, if you have the drive and determination to improve your health and fitness behaviors, and staying focused throughout your journey with me.
Own your progress. Own your movement. Own your body.

SERVICES
Creating programs for specific groups takes time and thought. Communication with a client is a key component to creating the right routines tailoring to ones limitations and/or needs. It is important to get as much information about a particular client or group of clients. When training with me, you will begin with a fitness assessment, which will gather measurements of your fitness level at the start of the program in order to successfully train and follow a variety of workouts that suit you as an individual.
PERSONAL TRAINING – This consists of one on one training sessions. A detailed assessment will be taken in order to create a customized program that is perfectly fit to achieve one’s goals. Programs can start from 4 weeks to a year. Whether you are new to the fitness world or looking to advance your current training to the next level, you will receive your own personalized comprehensive program.
GROUP TRAINING – A group can vary from 2-20 people at a given time. Small group training provides cost effective cardio/strength training workouts. Modified exercises will be given to members that may find it difficult to overcome specific tasks. One will reach their goals with the motivation and positive energy shared by others. Together, we work hard and train to the best of our abilities.
YOUTH TRAINING – This group is more developmental. It is critical to have young athletes learn the basics of proper movement patterns. With that, they will have a solid platform to build off of. Young athletes shouldn’t feel limited when it comes to training. During sessions of youth training, one will discover the importance of developing neuromuscular patterns. At the start, athletic fundamentals begin to be developed and then the athletic skill application comes into play. This program focuses on progressing and maintaining athletic movement while refining and establishing fundamental speed, agility and power. This repeated habit leads to long lasting positive athletic changes in ones life.
MODEL TRAINING – This training can be short and long term specific. As a model myself, I understand the busy and demanding lifestyle. One travels a lot, yet still is expected to find time to train for different types of shoots. Depending on the goals and level of photo-shoots, this training will be personalized for each individual model.
ATHLETES – Training an athlete is the cornerstone to my programs; it is generally about movement. However, if an athlete wants to implement a structured program for his or her sport, a well-tailored program will be created. Being that the lifestyle of an athlete is focused around training, their bodies and fitness capabilities are far more progressive than one who works an office job and sits for most of the day.
My Story
Growing up my life was surrounded by fitness both directly and indirectly. Going to the farm with my mother at a very early age and helping her to farm was part of my daily routine. On top of that, my days were filled with unplanned physical activities with my community friends. We would play cricket, take a break for lunch, and went back to playing some other sport. Nothing would be able to keep us from running around all day. Our main priority was sports.
My interest in physicality began as early as 16. I joined a gym, found a workout partner who was as dedicated as I was, and we started lifting every day. Our gains were starting to become massive. My confidence skyrocketed and I found love for my own body and mind.
Immediately after high school I started modeling. I entered the male face of Jamaica competition and I surprisingly won. Right after winning, I won the male face of the Caribbean. Winning those competitions made me realize it wasn’t only my face but my physical attributes as well that lead to win first place. I then came to America to pursue a modeling career, which turned out to be a successful one.
After a few years of modeling, I hit a point where I started thinking about my upbringing and the person I had become. I could only think about the human body, physical movement, sports and my care for helping others. That is when I decided that health and fitness could be the cornerstone of my life. I called a friend who was in the fitness industry and I asked him about the business and what I would need to do to get started. The very next day, I began studying for my certification. I passed, called up a local gym, got an interview, and was hired on the spot.
Once I started training and learning, my passion for health and fitness only continued to grow. I realized how society had been plagued with poor movement quality, injuries, and stiffness to the human body. I feel that I have a strong responsibility to do whatever I can to help as many people as possible. The more health and fitness misconceptions I read about, or unsafe training I witness in the gym, the more I want to do to make our society more conscious of their health and fitness lifestyle.
This is why I have invested my time and dedicated my life to the fitness industry. We are living in a sedentary society that needs to be more aware of the implications of not caring about their health and fitness. Focusing more on health and fitness is the key to living longer, moving better, and performing to the best of our ability at work and in life.
