British singer Rita Ora who is first female musical artist to collaborate with Adidas released a first look at the line on her Instagram page.
Rita posted a shot of a floral sports jacket with the caption, “It’s official my first collection for Adidas!!! Yes finally! Me and my team have worked so hard together to create the best sexiest coolest sportswear possible.”
Ora told WWD: “I’m a massive fan of the brand. I grew up working at a sneaker store when I was 16 and am a huge sneakerhead. It’s so cool that I’m able to do this with a brand that I sold when I was younger.”
, Josefine Aberg, design director of Adidas Originals, said to WWD about why they chose Rita: “She has a great way of mixing fashion and streetwear and has a big love for the brand, and it was obvious that we needed to work with her.”
The collection will be released in five sub-collections, beginning with the Black line which is due to be released on August 21 through Adidas Originals stores and on their website. Ora will be designing outerwear, accessories, footwear, and apparel, which have been inspired by the her personal style and fashion sense.
