Balmain’s creative director looked to Paris seventies style for inspiration for Balmain Fall 2015 Colection held during Paris Fashion Week. Backstage at the event Rousteing used reference of YSL’s muse, Loulou de la Falaise, also stating that he used reviewed prints from the Balmain archives from the seventies. He states that “it was an exotic time in Paris, full of exuberantly hued clothes”.
The Collection featured vibrant bold colors, with a color palette of orange, green, black, fuchsia and purple,they were color-block designs,florals,jersey knits, pleated wide leg palazzo pants, lace pants, wide belts, velvet dresses that has ruffles, and fringed dresses. The only thing missing to represent the seventies were big floppy hats and platform shoes.
